How Old respects your privacy. Some app features require cloud-based AI processing to analyze photos and return age-related results.
Information We Collect
Photos or images you capture or upload for age estimation and age progression features.
Generated output data, such as estimated age and processed result images.
Technical data needed to process requests, such as request metadata, app/device version, error diagnostics, and basic logs.
Analytics and crash information from integrated services, where enabled.
How We Collect Information
Directly from you when you submit or capture an image for analysis.
Automatically from app and service events used for diagnostics, reliability, fraud prevention, and abuse detection.
How We Use Information
To provide age estimation and age progression results.
To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app reliability and performance.
To detect abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service.
To comply with legal obligations when required.
Third-Party AI Processing
For certain AI features, user-submitted photos/images may be sent to Replicate, Inc. ("Replicate"), which we use as a third-party AI processing provider.
To provide age analysis features, image data is also processed in cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Amazon Rekognition.
Data sent for processing may include:
Input image or photo.
Cropped or processed facial regions required for analysis.
Prompt text or edit instructions, when applicable.
Technical parameters needed to generate the requested output.
This data is sent only to process and return the result you request.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers and processors needed to operate the app and its features, including AWS/Amazon Rekognition and Replicate for image analysis/processing, and providers for billing, analytics, and advertising where applicable. These providers are expected to apply privacy and security protections comparable to those described in this policy.
Data Retention
Input images and generated outputs may be temporarily stored to process requests and deliver results.
Age estimation and progression results may be stored for up to 1 hour on the server side and are then deleted.
Images submitted for AI processing are deleted within 1 hour on the server side, including when processing runs through Replicate infrastructure.
Limited logs and diagnostic records may be retained longer when needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
User Choices and Consent
You choose whether to use image analysis features. If you do not want your image sent for cloud processing, do not use those features. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact us at the email below.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure.
